Each month we play around with IDI® learning— noticing how our personal background + identities shape how we make sense of the world, while getting curious about how other people see the world from the background + identities they’re coming from. (It’s a BothAnd!)

September’s IDI® Virtual Learning Space

In this 60-minute virtual skill-building session, we introduce the What? So What? Now What? reflective framework as a practical tool to slow down, consider multiple interpretations, and make more informed and intentional decisions.

Together, we will explore what the framework is and practice applying it together using a shared video as our common experience. You will leave with a framework you can use immediately — in supervision, in difficult conversations, and in your own ongoing reflection.

  • Enjoyable enough that you will actually do it

  • Unfamiliar enough to help you notice something new

  • Challenging enough to stretch you

Development happens when we move beyond what is familiar while staying open enough to reflect and learn.

Wondering what to do next with your IDI learning?

Good news! You already have a personalized place to begin! Your Intercultural Development Plan—or IDP—is the workbook you received with your individual IDI results. It was created for your specific Developmental Orientation and includes reflection questions, developmental activities, and ideas for gaining new experiences.

If it has been unused since your debrief, this is your friendly invitation to find it again. It’s a great resource ready to meet you wherever you are now.
