Exploring the Roots: Unpacking Shame, Perfectionism, and Burnout in Justice Work
July 18th, 2025 | 12:00 PM CT
60-minutes, Virtual
This is a practice space for people who identify as white who are feeling fear, shame, burnout, or exhaustion. What comes up when we pause our reactionary responding and constant doing, and turn inward to recognize the sources behind how we’re feeling? What are we feeling and where do these feelings come from?
This time is not about talking about how to solve any of our current problems—it’s a moment to step away from the state of our world to consider the roots behind our feelings, recognize what’s coming up for us, and spend time focusing on the inner work that we can to develop a more sustainable and effective approach to social justice work.
Conversation guided by Paul Johnson.
Introductory Pricing: As we introduce new learning opportunities, we offer a reduced rate to make it easier for you to join us, explore what’s possible, and connect with our incredible collective of contributors and facilitators. It’s our way of saying welcome in as we grow together.
