To Be Seen & Heard: A Conversation about Welcome, Safety, & Belonging

Join Rev. Kelly “PK” Chatman & Rev. Verlon Brown for a reflective conversation exploring how our lived experiences shape our identities, core values, and sense of belonging—and how we can co-create communities where people truly feel seen and heard.

Drawing from their personal stories and lifelong commitment to creating spaces of belonging, PK & Verlon explore the unique, transformative power of congregations and other shared spaces (workplaces, neighborhoods, etc) to heal systemic harm together and include all voices in building healthier, thriving communities.

You’ll be invited to reflect on your own story, listen to others with curiosity, and consider what you want the spaces you’re part of to make possible.

To keep exploring beyond the session, we recommend PK’s book To Be Seen and Heard: The Power of Welcome, Safety, and Belonging in the Church.
